Talk
From the port of Rotterdam to rooftops in Seoul and the cityscape of Berlin, she develops and shares artistic practices and tactics that intersect the human body with weather, environment, ecology, and pollution as material.
This involves creating DIY apparatus and engaging in collective performances such as dancing, cycling, and broadcasting.
Inspired by the concept of 'Weathering' proposed by feminist scholars Astrida Neimanis and Jennifer Mae Hamilton, Yeon's work views weather as more than mere meteorological phenomena but as a domain where the human body, pollution, culture, and socio-political aspects intersect as embodied experiences.
