Biography

Femi Johnson is a luminary in the fields of Digital Heritage and Arts & Culture. As a Digital Heritage Specialist at the Museum of West African Art (MOWAA), he is at the forefront of the groundbreaking project to digitize priceless African artifacts. Femi collaborates with esteemed global institutions, including the RJM Museum in Koln, Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford, Cambridge MAA, The Swiss Benin Initiative, The Goethe Institute, to preserve and promote African heritage. A multifaceted Director, Producer, filmmaker, and visual artist, Femi has received fellowships from the Basel House of Film to GAS Foundation. His artistic talents have been showcased at prestigious exhibitions like FNB Art Joburg and Kunsthaus Hamburg. Femi was a Guest Professor at HFBK Hamburg, exploring human nature and impermanence through Time-Based Media. He was also invited to speak at Ars Electronica where he served on the Board of Advisors for STARTS4AFRICA.
