A Tool with Perception

Talk

Billions of cameras are produced every year, capturing images that are viewed by humans and machines. These cameras enable computers to 'see'. This talk provides a historical overview of machine vision (MV) and explores how we teach computers to see. It examines artistic works that use MV, focusing on how artists use and question this technology.
