Every two months, "e-flux Index" compiles the most important writing on art, architecture, literature, film and philosophy from the leading thinkers, critics and theorists of our time.
Each bespoke, limited print edition of the Index is a self-contained collection that sets out to make sense of the contemporary situation, serving as a reference point for artists, practitioners, and researchers, as well as museum archives and research libraries. The Index is distributed in selected bookstores and institutions throughout Canada, East Asia, Europe, North America, and the United Kingdom.
George MacBeth, editor of the "e-flux Index," will be in discussion with Julieta Aranda, co-founder and editor of “e-flux Journal,” and Matthias Böttger, head of IXDM at HGK Basel.
Biographies
• Julieta Aranda (Mexico City, Mexico) is an artist and educator, co-director of the online platform e-flux, and an editor of e-flux journal.
• George MacBeth is a writer and editor based in Berlin. His critical writing appears in Art Monthly, Spike Art Magazine, Texte zur Kunst, Asymptote Journal, and e-flux, among other outlets. He is the editor of the e-flux Index.
• Matthias Böttger studied architecture and urban planning in Karlsruhe and London. Today he works as a university lecturer, curator and urbanist. Since 2017, he has been head of HyperWerk and a professor at the Academy of Art and Design HGK FHNW in Basel. Since 2021, he has been head of the IXDM there.
