Biography
Ines Kleesattel is an aesthetic art researcher, philosopher, cultural studies scholar, and, possibly, a hexpert. She works on queer-feminist knowledges and theory practices, situated aesthetics, critical speculation and methods of artistic research in translocal and transtemporal interrelations. Since 2023 she has been Professor of Arts & Design Education at the Basel Academy of Art and Design. Previously, she was a visiting professor at the Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart, where she co-directed the MFA Body, Theory and Poetics of the Performative with Discoteca Flaming Star. She was a senior researcher at the Zurich University of the Arts (2019-2023) and the University of Applied Arts Vienna (2017-2018). Her publications include Landscaping Oneself – In Relational Practices (2024, together with Sigrid Adorf and Léonie Süess), Witchy Wits*** Mit situierten Sinnen und widerspenstigem Wissen (2022, FKW-Journal Nr.71), Untooling (2021, a methodical-unmethodical tool for translocal research processes, together with knowbotiq & U.
