Talks & Panels

The Public Discourse program invites you to imagine collectively the forward-facing agendas for the futures-we-need. Join us for four days of talks, workshops and performances from artists, designers, theorists, activists, researchers, engineers, and organisers.

Featuring keynotes from: Ruha Benjamin, Shaka McGlotten, Nelly Y. Pinkrah, Paco Calvo, Ayenan Quinchoa Juajibioy and Clemens Apprich and by Juan Cortes, Ann Mbuti, Sissel Marie Tonn, Ren Loren Britton, Joana Chicau, Chidi Nwaubani (LOOTY), Stefanie Bräuer, Silvia Dal Dosso, Yvonne Volkart, Helen V. Pritchard, Johannes Bruder, Lucie Kolb,  with more to be announced.

Screenings

Mesh shows current works from the international, national and local film and media art scene. In the programmes, you are invited to immerse yourself in specific topics such as AI, digital abstraction and virtual worlds.

Club Nights

At the Club Nights, you can immerse yourself in the latest electronic music. A mix of local, national and international musicians will give you an insight into current productions. The Club Nights of the Mesh Festival take place in cooperation with Radio X and Elektronisches Studio Basel.

The names of the artists will be published as soon as possible.

Pubic Workshops

Get stuck in! Experiment with others on creative, digital projects in public workshops.

Guided Tours

Explore the festival’s exhibitions around Freilager-Platz through guided tours and immerse yourself in the future visions and «tools» of the exhibiting artists.

In the public tours, we provide an overview of the exhibition venues and offer insights into the themes of the artworks. Due to limited space, registration via the ticket links is required.

Cost: 10 CHF p.p.
